Katherine's First Christmas

a.k.a. "West-Coast Swing #2"

Christmas 2006 found us in High River, Alberta with Nana and Grandpappy (or Sir, as he prefers to be called). Katherine is a good little flyer and handled the 4 hours or so from Ottawa to Calgary just fine...making life easy on her escorts.

We took a little road trip one day and Katherine proved to be a more hearty traveller than mommy!

All was well, nonetheless, as we were able to lounge around in our pajamas for much of the morning...

Mmmmm....homemade peanut butter cookies. For mom only...for now.

Hanging out and playing with Uncle Colin...

Mommy showing off Katherine's "Baby's First Xmas" PJs...

Lunch time...

Taking it easy after Christmas dinner with Nana.

So after a week in High River, we hopped the quick flight over the mountains (woohoo! mountains!) to Abbotsford/Langley/Vancouver, where Grandma and Grandpa were, once again, happy to be home base for Katherine and her escorts, for a few days at least.

This is a shot of the aftermath of yet another ample spread put on by Grandma, with Uncle Jason and Aunt Pam in the background.

Grandpa and Baba spending some time with their grand-daughter.

Too quick of a trip, as always, but that's the way it goes.

At least Katherine likes to help with the unpacking!

Love the pic of her in the suitcase at the end. Back in her hometown where she belongs!!

Too bad we missed you but it looks like you had fun. I can't believe she's crawling! They should sell remotes specifically for children and have little real looking batteries that are metal but minus the zap (Jack has been zapped a few times). Take care!
